Eugene Cameron

I would first like to advise the Circle of Twelve that I am Thankful, Humbled, and Greatly appreciate your kindness in selecting me a candidate, then recipient of your Scholarship.  As you may or may not know, Mr. Berlin's phone call could not have come at a most opportune time.  The day he called, is when I was let go from my employment. The Great news was something I needed to hear at that time.  I am most grateful.
The work I volunteer at is with the Episcopal Social Services.  I facilitate proceedings in conjunction with the Juvenile Court System of Sedgwick County.

The program is for first time offenders, majority male, of different ethnicity's.  Another adventure I am involved with three other individuals; is to start the First Native American Church in Medicine Lodge, Kansas.  We have land to put our Tipi on to have our ceremony.  A couple of weeks ago we went to Oklahoma to converse with a "Road man" to see if he will run them for us.  Eventually, I will run them myself.  I have asked Mr. Berlin, when we have our first meeting, I would like to invite the Council of Twelve to attend the meeting in hopes of also being a satellite for the organization in Kansas, when it is time.

Your support is also helpful because I will be working on getting my License for Social Work.  I will be in contact with Mr. Berlin in the near future with information to whom to send the support.  Thank You.  Oh Yes, I am an enrolled member of the Southern Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma.  My wife Florence, is Picuris Pueblo from Northern New Mexico.  This Friday, August 14th. My wife and I will be celebrating our eighth year of marriage.

Sincerely,
Eugene Cameron
